Virtual Real Estate

Just like how we sell/buy in real estate, this is the same as in virtual. This will guide you on how to flip a domain, how to look out for expired domains, and earn profits.

What is domain flipping?

Domain flipping is the practice of buying a domain name as cheaply as possible. Then, without doing anything with the domain, you’ll sell the domain to an interested party for more than you originally paid.

Some key features for a premium domain :

Check out the popular niche, do research on this before investing. The shorter the domain name higher you will get the selling price.

* Single word

* Popular niche

* Simple and readable, also catchy

* Brandable

* No numbers or special characters

Keyword-friendly

You should also consider how friendly the domain is for search engines and search engine optimization (SEO). With Google’s Keyword Planner, you can research a specific topic and learn which keywords and phrases related to that topic seem to get the most searches.

What is domain drop catching/domain sniping?

One of the most common strategies in domain flipping is domain drop catching, sometimes called domain sniping. Domain registration has an expiration date, rather than lasting forever. When the domain is fully expired, other buyers may swoop in and take it.

All domains are bought with an expiration period. We can see the expired domains in

www.domainhole.com

https://justdropped.com/jdnewsletter.html

Wait for good domains to expire, once expired buy it from www.godaddy.com or some other domain registration websites before someone renews it.

Then check for the worth of a domain using domain name evaluators.

What is Domain Value Evaluator?

To know the current market value for that domain we can use these websites

Where we can sell it?

We can sell it in go daddy auctions. For that, you need to be an auction member which costs around 7$.

https://in.auctions.godaddy.com/

After purchasing those domains sell them via flippa.com

How to sell?

  1. Give your domain details

2. Enter the summary, description, and other assets along with it like email, etc

3. Set your pricing

Use the domain evaluators and set the price based on that, Also there are two modes available for this. Either it can be BUY NOW / AUCTION.

4. Select Listing Service

5. Then you need to verify if this website is registered under your name, which can be done using creating a txt record for DNS.

Manage DNS -> Records -> Add -> txt -> add the value given by flippa to verify .

How much did I gain?

Expenses:

1.Godaddy auction membership -> 7$

2.Bought one expired domain -> 19$ (One year registration,also expired domains charge)

3.To sell in Flippa ,basic option -> 10$

*Total Expense -> 36$

Gain:

Sold for -> 1264$ (In Flippa)

We can even sell it on afternic.com which is owned by GoDaddy, but Flippa is better in reach.

*Total Profit -> (1264 — 36 )= 1232$ .

Also, there is another way to earn with unused domains -> Domain parking.
